Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computed tomography procedures, administer ionizing radiation, and support diagnostic or interventional activities. You will work independently or with licensed practitioners to ensure patient safety and high-quality data acquisition.

The role emphasizes ALARA principles, protocol optimization, and collaboration with students and healthcare teams to deliver precise imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB certification required at hire.
• New grads must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB certification before employment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient information, verify identity, and prepare exams with confidentiality.
• Apply imaging protocols, optimize factors, and minimize radiation exposure.
• Administer medications via vascular access and document activities.
• Evaluate image quality and verify data storage or transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, assist interventional CT procedures.
• Perform CT procedures following licensed practitioner instructions.

Role Overview

Responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) procedures, administering ionizing radiation, and supporting diagnostic, therapeutic, or research activities. Independently or collaboratively assist licensed practitioners in imaging and interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality data acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, documenting activities accurately.
• Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data storage or transfer.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with interventional CT procedures.
• Perform prescribed CT procedures following licensed practitioner instructions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) upon hire.
• New graduates must obtain ARRT-R or NMTCB certification prior to employment.
• Ability to work independently, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
