Qualifications

• Maintains ARRT or modality-specific competency in clinical/technical functions.
• Ensures proper patient identification and order verification.
• Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within time limits without compromising care or quality.
• Instructs students and CT Techs in protocols and equipment usage.
• Provides patient education and addresses concerns.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates CT equipment and related information systems for quality images.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT exams on patients.
• Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Assist and instruct students and other CT Techs in protocols and positioning.
• Maintain records of patient information, procedures, and adverse reactions.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, and QC programs.
