Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a CT Technologist for an evening shift (11am-11:30pm) Wednesday to Friday. The role focuses on performing CT exams with high-quality imaging, patient communication, and ALARA safety adherence.

Required are ARRT-CT and ARRT-R certifications, a radiologic technology degree, BLS, and 1 year of post-graduate experience preferred. Join a team dedicated to excellent patient care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
• Current (ARRT-CT)
• Current (ARRT-R)
• 1 year post-graduate experience preferred
• BLS certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams following protocols and in a timely manner, ensuring a high quality of care.
• Prepare procedure trays with appropriate supplies.
• Take patient history and retrieve orders or prior images.
• Provide patient history, signs, and symptoms appropriate to the exam to the radiologist.
• Coordinate patient flow and check the daily list to ensure all exams are complete.
• Support ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
• Inform patients about procedures and answer questions.
• Interact and communicate with physicians, patients, and family members.
• Start IVs for contrast administration and use the power injector.
• Contribute to after-hour coverage through on-call shift rotations.
• Maintain licenses, certifications and accreditations.
• Handle daily upkeep of departmental work areas.
• Promote customer service initiatives per ICARE values.
• Participate in quality and performance improvement plans.
• Demonstrate knowledge of patient development and care across ages.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
