Job summary

Sarah Bush Lincoln is seeking a CT Technologist to produce diagnostic CT images for radiologists, perform radiographic and DEXA procedures, and ensure image quality by adjusting technique and patient positioning. This role requires knowledge of equipment operation, safety, and ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure while delivering excellent results.

Qualifications

AS: Radiologic Technology (Required) ARR T - CT, ARRT CT certification.
ARRT - Radiography (R) - within 1 year of hire - ARRT

Responsibilities

Accurate image identification.
Assures accuracy and high quality images.
Completes continuing education on CT specific safety annually.
Obtains proper consent for procedures.
Performs CT exams in addition to Radiographic and DEXA exams by setting, adjusting, manipulating, and controlling a variety of complex electronic equipment.
Performs intravenous injection of contrast media products under the guidance of the Radiologist.
Provides proper documentation in patient chart of radiation dose and contrast use.
Remains current regarding Creatinine & GFR levels to aid in determining the use of contrast and consults w/ physician or nurse as appropriate.
Utilizes ALARA principles to reduce radiation exposure to staff members and patients.
Utilizes PACS and HIS system to archive and record patient data.
