Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Harrisburg, PA, is seeking a regular full-time CT Technologist to support the UPMC Pinnacle Radiation Oncology network. This role performs diagnostic CT imaging with contrast administration and follows established protocols to ensure high quality studies and patient safety.

The incumbent will be placed into the CT Career ladder based on education, certification, license, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs computed tomography procedures using established scan protocols and contrast administration.
• Utilizes imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation.
• Ensures exams are properly coded in RIS and archived for interpretation.
• Administers PO, rectal and IV contrast per orders and assesses risk.
• Communicates instructions to patients clearly and helps alleviate fears.
• Adjusts protocols and applies ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostic CT.
• Works with patients and co-workers with professionalism and respect.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers and follows universal protocol.
• Reviews patient history and documents in electronic records.
