Job summary

The CT Technologist at Cobb Hospital within Wellstar delivers safe, high‑quality imaging and supports a reassuring patient experience. You will work on a 40-hour weekday day shift as part of a collaborative care team dedicated to compassionate service.

This role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, and a commitment to ALARA, infection control, and accurate documentation in RIS/PACS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• ARRT-R certification required (Radiography).
• ARRT-CT certification required (Computed Tomography).
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain diagnostic quality with ALARA dosing.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout visits.
• Administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers, and ensure proper immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and complete final documentation in RIS/PACS.

Education
