Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging and a caring patient experience on a 36-hour weekday day-shift schedule in Cobb County, GA. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork within a busy radiology department.

Required are an accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT-R and ARRT-CT, and BLS. Benefits include PTO, sign-on bonus eligibility, relocation assistance, and education support through CareerCare.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Accredited Radiologic Technology program completed.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification obtained.
• ARRT-CT certification obtained.
• BLS by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment independently and adjust techniques for diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report equipment issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep and post-care using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care during visits.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding; ensure correct immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat/correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers/retrievals and prior exams.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with crash cart equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timelines and support department operations and compliance.
• Elevate issues to supervisor as needed and maintain orderly, stocked work areas.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology

ARRT-R (Radiography)

ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography

BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association
