Wellstar Cobb Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and support a positive patient experience on a 40-hour weekday day shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology is required.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification is required.
• ARRT-CT certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and maintain ALARA dose.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and two patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast with venipuncture using sterile technique.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and repeat if needed.
• Document and finalize studies in RIS/PACS, including transfers/retrieval as needed.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department flow.
