Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• ARRT-R and ARRT CT certifications are required or in process.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and minimize patient dose (ALARA).
• Maintain infection control, clean and disinfect rooms and equipment.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients before exams.
• Explain procedures and prepare patients, addressing questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams with contrast as per protocol and ensure proper venipuncture technique.
• Position patients and apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and document findings in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and restock life-support equipment as needed.
• Coordinate daily workflows and support department operations.

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
