Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Shawnee Mission is seeking a CT Technologist to produce cross-sectional images for diagnosis across multiple locations. You will operate CT scanners and related devices, ensure optimal radiation dose, and maintain patient safety and comfort.

You will participate in ongoing training, support education for staff and students, and coordinate exams to optimize workflow, while adhering to department policies and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Radiologic Technology certificate/degree required.
• ARRT CT certification within 180 days; Kansas licensure within 90 days.
• BLS certification; strong knowledge of contrast reactions and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners and auxiliary devices, optimizing radiation dose for image quality.
• Coordinate examinations to minimize patient stay and improve workflow.
• Respond to patient needs and manage contrast administration education.
• Provide teaching and learning opportunities to technologists and students.
• Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and safety protocols; assist with department projects.
