Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Radiologic Technology certificate required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's in Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT CT certification within 180 days; LRT Kansas within 90 days; BLS.

Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison between departments and assist with approved projects in Radiology.
  • Develop continuing education strategies for CT Department staff.
  • Provide teaching and learning opportunities to technologists and students.
  • Operate CT scanners and related devices safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure optimal workflow and minimize patient stay in the hospital.
  • Assess patients, provide preparation and venous access for contrast material.
  • Maintain equipment parameters and system safety in line with protocols.
