Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and an advanced registry in CT within one year of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders with Radiologist; ensures proper patient identification and prepares patients.
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during procedures; maintains sterile technique and radiation safety.
• Evaluates image quality; records contrast administration and documents in MAR; uses radiation safety guidelines.
• Provides basic patient care and monitors patient condition; responds to emergencies and code blue situations as needed.
• Operates radiology computer systems, entering orders and charging procedures; maintains clean and stocked work areas.
