Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a part-time CT Technologist I to perform CT procedures in accordance with department protocols. You will operate CT scanners, confirm orders, and ensure patient safety and imaging quality.

The role requires ARRT or NMTCB CT certification within one year and BLS. Responsibilities include patient preparation, obtaining medical history, coordinating with Radiology, and maintaining documentation and equipment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or NMTCB program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine; CT registry within 1 year.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identifies patients using two identifiers and explains procedures.
• Prepares patients with full explanations and documents on worksheets.
• Interviews patients for medical history and reviews EMRs for pertinent history.
• Operates CT scanners and related equipment and ensures radiation safety.
• Performs CT scanning with Radiologist/PA during procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and adheres to infection control policies.
• Rotates shifts including call back, holidays, and weekends.
• Operates radiology computer system for orders and MAR documentation.
