Job summary

Med Career Solutions in Palatka, FL seeks a CT Technician to deliver patient-centered CT exams and support radiology services. 7a-7p shifts available, Sat-Sun-Mon, with a sign-on bonus and relocation consideration.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, performing CTs per protocol, documenting data, and maintaining supplies. Required ARRT CT registration, Florida license, and BCLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• One year of CT experience required.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ARRT (R) & CT registry preferred.
• Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology School.

Job description

Position: CT Tech.

Location: Palatka, FL

Shifts/Schedule: Days | 7a - 7p (Sat-Sun-Mon)

What You’ll Do:

• Consistently deliver the best in customer service and patient care. As a team member, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors and other employees
• Champion PCMC’s mission, vision and values; complies with the policies and procedures, ethical standards and code of conduct set forth by the company
• Always verify physician orders prior to completing examination.
• After verifying the physician’s orders, C.T. examinations are performed according to the patient’s physician.
• Perform invasive procedures according to the established protocol allowing for any special instructions from the Radiologist or patient’s physician.
• Completes tube warm-ups as needed.
• Assures that all “call result” exams are sent to Radiologist as soon as the exam is finished.
• At the beginning and end of each shift ensure that all supplies are stocked necessary to perform daily schedule.
• Advises supervisor of supplies needed for ordering.
• Always performs venipuncture according to established protocol.
• Documents accurate patient information pertinent to the exam being performed.
• Assures patient comfort and recognizes their needs and concerns during their encounter.
• Performs accurate computer functions.
• Reports any equipment malfunctions immediately.

Qualifications Required:

• One year of CT experience REQUIRED. Candidates DO NOT need to have acute care experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) & (CT) registry preferred
• Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology School

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay rate range: Min $27.42/hr. – Max $36.95/hr. (Based on years of experience)
• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
• Relocation: Case by case
