Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a CT Technologist to join our CT Department at Baptist Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This PRN, varied shifts opportunity requires participation in call and holiday rotation.

Responsibilities include operating GE CT equipment, preparing patients, administering IV contrast, and providing clear explanations to patients while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years radiology experience preferred.
• Hospital setting experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Baptist Health is seeking a CT Technologist to join our CT Department at Baptist Beaches in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This is a PRN, Varied Shifts opportunity.

Participation in call and holiday rotation required.

Additional responsibilities of our CT technologists include operating and calibrating of GE equipment, preparing patients for their procedures which include administering IV contrast & patient positioning, providing clear explanations & education about the process, and ensuring the compliance with all regulatory standards.

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Performing high quality (CT) procedures in accordance to established protocols and guidelines
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
• Monitor patient vital signs and comfort during exams
• Operate CT equipment and ensure proper maintenance
• Collaborate with radiologists to provide optimal imaging results
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures
• Adhere to safety protocols and radiation safety standards
• Educate patients on the CT process and answer any patient questions

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years Radiology Experience Preferred
• Experience working in a hospital setting Preferred
• Customer Service Experience Preferred

Education & Credential Requirements

• Vocational School or Associate's Degree
• Registered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R) Required
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

If hired, must pass certification in Computed Tomography from the ARRT within 12 months of hire date.
