Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking a CT Technologist to perform imaging procedures and support patient care during day and evening shifts at the 1906 Belleview Ave SE location.

The role requires CT registration within one year of hire; ARRT registry. Training and travel to other Carilion facilities may be required. A strong emphasis on patient interaction and teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operates radiologic equipment to obtain quality CT images.
• Collaborates with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients.
• Performs IV contrast injections and other required skills.
• Positions and evaluates patients to optimize imaging.
• Interprets information to identify patient needs and prepares plan of care.
• Interacts with patients, families, and healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Assists with scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing; trains staff as assigned.
• May travel to other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.

How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:

Up to $30,000 new hire sign on bonus and up to $7,000 in relocation assistance is available.

The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis of patients.

The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist

• Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images.
• Works with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients.
• Performs IV contrast injections and other skills as required.
• Evaluates and positions patients.
• Interprets information needed to identify each patient’s requirement and/or specific needs and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.
• Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.
• Assists patients with scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing Trains students and staff as assigned.
• May need to travel to other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.

What We Require:

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.

Experience: none

Licensure/Certification: Must be CT registered within one year of hire. ARRT registry

Life Support: AHA-BLS-HCP

Other: Good interpersonal and technical skills, and flexibility in assignments.

Compensation Range:

$33.52 - $50.28

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
