Job summary

Supplemental Health Care is seeking a CT technologist for a 13-week contract at a partnering hospital in the Boston area. The role involves operating CT equipment, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality diagnostic images in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited radiologic technology degree, ARRT radiography certification, and an active state license; CT experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires an accredited Radiologic Technology program degree.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) is required; CT certification preferred to perform CT imaging.
• Active state radiologic technologist license as applicable.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• 1–2 years of radiology experience with CT imaging preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT imaging equipment to capture diagnostic Images.
• Sterilize radiologic equipment and ensure patient safety.
• Explain scanning procedures to patients and obtain cooperation.
• Maintain patient comfort and radiation protection practices.
• Evaluate CT scans for image quality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R); ARRT (CT) certification preferred
• Active state radiologic technologist license (if applicable)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association; ACLS preferred
• 1-2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist; prior CT imaging experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and CT imaging protocols

CT Tech Contract Details

• $2,450 - $2,750 per week
• 13-week contract with possibility to extend
• AM shifts available
• 40 hrs/wk

Duties

• Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images
• Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients
• Explaining scanning procedures to patients
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, including appropriate radiation protection practices
• Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality
