Job summary

Wellstar North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver high-quality CT imaging and exceptional patient care. You will perform CT procedures, ensure safety and accuracy, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary imaging team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires ARRT-R and ARRT-CT certifications, BLS, and completion of a recognized Radiologic Technology program, with at least 1 year radiology experience.

Qualifications

• Education requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Certification requirements include ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT, and BLS per American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain diagnostic image quality while minimizing dose (ALARA).
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and adjust techniques as needed.
• Maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules and report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, screen for contraindications, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET and address patient questions to reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol with proper venipuncture and sterile technique.
• Position patients, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability and finalize studies in RIS/PACS; manage transfers as needed.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and restock/resupply equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflows to support department flow and compliance.
