Job summary

Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg, VA seeks a CT Technologist for Flex/PRN roles. The incumbent performs CT imaging, contrast injections, patient positioning, and works with the care team to plan and deliver radiologic services. Occasional travel to other Carilion facilities may be required.

Qualifications include CT registration within one year of hire; ARRT registry, AHA-BLS-HCP, and strong interpersonal/technical skills with flexible assignments.

Employment Status: Variable / Flex Shift: Any Day, Any Shift (United States of America) Facility: 2900 Lamb Cir - Christiansburg Requisition Number: R162530 CT TECHNOLOGIST (CNRVMC)- Flex/PRN (Open) How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare: Hours: Flexible day/hours/shifts The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis of patients. The CT (Computed tomography) Technologist Operates highly specialized, technical equipment to obtain quality images. Works with physicians, other healthcare providers and patients. Performs IV contrast injections and other skills as required. Evaluates and positions patients. Interprets information needed to identify each patient’s requirement and/or specific needs and provides care per applicable policy and procedures. Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care. Assists patients with scheduling, registration, file management and computer processing Trains students and staff as assigned. May need to travel to other Carilion facilities to meet patient needs.

What We Require:

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Experience: none
• Licensure/Certification: Must be CT registered within one year of hire. ARRT registry
• Life Support: AHA-BLS-HCP
• Other: Good interpersonal and technical skills, and flexibility in assignments.

Compensation Range: $33.52 - $50.28 Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
