Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is expanding its Connecticut operations with a dedicated Cardiac Evaluation Center in Norwalk. The CT Technologist will perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures to support the Heart & Vascular Institute and Cardiology Associates of Fairfield County.

New graduates and experienced technologists are invited to speak with us. We offer a $10,000 sign-on bonus for 36+ hour hires, tuition reimbursement after 6 months, and opportunities for cross-training with Siemens CT

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from state health department or equivalent.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a cardiovascular walk-in center following established protocols.
• Select correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields based on patient age and diagnosis to produce accurate CT images.
• Assist Radiologist or Physician's Assistant during complex invasive CT examinations using proper sterile technique.

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures at a dedicated cardiovascular walk-in center according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields while utilizing the assessment of patient age and diagnosis to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. You will participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• CT Advanced certification by ARRT required within 12 months of job entry date. Failure to meet this requirement will result in termination or transfer out of CT Technologist job.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program
