Job summary

Hartford Hospital is actively hiring CT Technologists to support the weekend shift in Hartford, Connecticut. Our CT Technologists perform diagnostic CT procedures and assist radiologists, using appropriate exposure factors and algorithms to produce high-quality images.

This role offers a 3/12s second shift (330pm–4am) on Thur/Fri/Sat, a $20,000 sign-on for eligible roles, tuition reimbursement, a career ladder, and on-the-job training in a teaching hospital.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
• Connecticut state Radiographer license required; Basic Life Support (BLS).
• 6 months experience in Radiology hospital setting preferred; new grads accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures with correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields.
• Assist radiologist/physician in complex CT examinations ensuring sterile technique.
• Produce technically accurate cross-sectional CT images.

Position Summary

Our skilled CT Technologists performs diagnostic and therapeutic CT procedures to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Technologists perform computed tomography (CT) procedures by selecting correct exposure factors, algorithms and scan fields to produce technically accurate cross sectional images to assist the radiologist in diagnosis and treatment. Our CT Techs participate in complex invasive CT examinations by assisting the Radiologist or Physician's Assistant using proper sterile technique and producing CT images.

Qualifications

Education

Graduate from an accredited Radiography program

Licensure, Certification, Registration

• Connecticut state Radiographer license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience

• 6 months experience in Radiology hospital setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of CT Technology and venipuncture.
