Job summary

The University of Rochester is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform CT examinations at 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14642. This full-time role operates in the Imaging Sciences-CT department with an evening shift, 36 hours per week, under supervision and with a focus on safe, accurate imaging and timely patient care.

Requirements include completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology, NY licensure, and ARRT certification with CE credits.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent
• NY licensure required at hire
• ARRT certification with CE credits required at hire

Responsibilities

• Identifies patient service requirements and educates patients regarding procedures to be performed
• Performs CT exams by following orders and maintaining safety and quality
• Produces high-quality CT images and prepares them for interpretation
• Maintains documentation and QC of CT images and equipment
• Complies with ALARA and radiation safety practices
• May train new employees or lead day-to-day activities
