Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited program.
  • Graduate from an approved Radiology Technology program.
  • ARRT (R) (CT) certification.
  • MRT-General Certificate.
  • CT registry within one year of hire.
  • BCLS certification through American Heart Association.
  • Proven ability to use computer keyboard and grasp advanced elements of computed tomography.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT equipment and perform studies per department standards.
  • Abide by radiation safety protocols and maintain required records.
  • Perform sterile technique and intravenous contrast administration.
  • Access the radiology information system and imaging archive system.
  • Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot imaging equipment with service coordination.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, providers, and patients.
  • Assist with orientation of new employees and radiology students; support department leadership.
  • Participate in continuing education and quality improvement activities.
  • Participate in Clinic Environment Health and Safety programs.
