Job summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center in Nashville seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT examinations with a focus on quality images and exceptional patient care. You will follow protocol, prepare trays, obtain patient history, and coordinate procedures under radiologist guidance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT (R) certification required or eligible.
• ARRT (CT) certification within 1 year of hire or within 6 months of eligibility.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams following protocols in a timely manner, ensuring high-quality care.
• Prepare procedure trays with appropriate supplies.
• Take patient history and retrieve orders or prior images.
• Provide patient history, signs, and symptoms to the radiologist.
• Complete documentation accurately.
• Coordinate patient flow and monitor the daily exam list.
• Support ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles.
• Inform patients about procedures and answer questions.
• Interact professionally with physicians, patients, and family members.
• Start IVs for contrast administration and use the power injector.
• Contribute to after-hours on-call rotations.
• Maintain licenses, certifications, and accreditations as required.
• Maintain departmental work areas (cleaning, stocking).
• Promote ICARE customer service values and participate in QI/PI plans.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology

ARRT (R)
