Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Franklin, TN is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT exams, prepare patients, start IVs for contrast, and support ALARA principles while maintaining high image quality.

You will gather patient history, relay pertinent information to radiologists, coordinate daily exams, complete documentation, and participate in on-call rotations. ARRT CT and radiography credentials plus an associate degree are required.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of start date.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• ARRT-R radiography certification.
• Associate degree from an accredited program.
• One year of post-graduate experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams following protocols and ensure a high quality of care.
• Obtain patient history and retrieve orders or prior images.
• Provide patient history and signs and symptoms to radiologist.
• Complete documentation accurately.
• Coordinate patient flow and verify daily exam list.
• Support ALARA principles and minimize radiation dose.
• Explain procedures to patients and answer questions.
• Communicate professionally with physicians, patients, and families.
• Start IVs for contrast administration and use power injector.
• Prepare procedure trays with supplies.
• Participate in quality improvement plans.
• Care for patients across all ages served.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
