Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scanning and assist Radiologists, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety. You will verify orders, prepare patients, administer contrast when needed, and maintain accurate documentation.

Must hold ARRT Radiology certification (or NMTCB) with CT registry within one year, and comply with BLS and departmental policies. This is a full-time, 40-hour week position with benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Follows radiation safety guidelines and hospital policies.
• Maintains patient comfort and clear explanations of procedures.
• Collaborates with radiology team to ensure quality imaging and safety.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests, verify orders, and consult Radiologist on discrepancies.
• Identify patients accurately and prepare them for procedures with explanations.
• Review EMRs for medical history and correlate results with the exam.
• Operate CT scanning equipment and assist Radiologist/PA during procedures.
• Ensure sterile technique and radiation safety in all steps.
• Document contrast administration and equipment maintenance.
• Rotate shifts including weekends and holidays as required.
