Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT procedures using various imaging systems and manage contrast administration per policy. You will review patient history, collaborate with radiologists, and ensure high-quality image acquisition and patient safety.

The role includes possible cross-training and adherence to department protocols, with emphasis on accurate imaging, safety, and support for student and staff instruction. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
• Registered in Radiography (R) within 1 year - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Registered in Computed Tomography (CT) within 1 year - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) within 1 year - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)

Responsibilities

• Performs computerized axial tomography procedures and assigned invasive procedures by acquiring and processing patient exams in accordance with accrediting bodies and department protocols.
• Performs multiplanar reformats and/or 3D rendered images independently and reviews cases with the radiologist when appropriate.
• Administers IV contrast, and oral/rectal contrast when appropriate, and responds to adverse or allergic reactions.
• Ensures patient safety, screens for pregnancy as applicable, and maintains imaging quality and equipment.
