Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computerized axial tomography procedures using diverse imaging equipment and contrast material, in accordance with Carle policies. The role includes administering IV and/or oral/rectal contrasts as appropriate and reviewing patient history to ensure accurate exams.

You will monitor for adverse reactions, ensure safety, and assist in instruction of students and new staff.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Licensure/certification as Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) and CT (ARRT) preferred or required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; CT/NMTCB certifications may be required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT procedures with various imaging equipment and contrast.
• Reviews patient history and labs to determine correct imaging procedures.
• Administers IV and oral/rectal contrast as appropriate; monitors for adverse reactions.
• Ensures patient safety and compliance with department protocols.
• May perform duties of CT Lead or Imaging Coordinator when needed.
• Cross-trains in other modalities per licensure and department needs.
