Valley Health System in the United States seeks a CT Technologist to perform CT, general radiology, and fluoroscopy across all patient ages while maintaining high image quality and safety. The role requires weekend/holiday/on-call shifts to provide 24/7 coverage, with coordination through RIS, PACS, and HIS systems.

The position emphasizes adherence to radiation safety, patient positioning accuracy, and collaboration with physicians and department staff to ensure efficient workflows and quality

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) registered is required.
• ARRT (CT) registry certification is required within 2 years of hire.
• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) — AHA Healthcare Provider required.
• New hires must have AHA certification prior to orientation.
• Licensure: West Virginia Radiologic Technologist license if working in WV; licensure within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Performs accurate CT procedures according to protocol and patient age group.
• Performs exam segmentation for PACS archive.
• Ensures correct patient positioning and prepares equipment.
• Modifies positioning, slice thickness, and IV contrast as needed.
• Explains procedures and gathers patient history and contrast history.
• Performs contrast injections as ordered by physician.
• Reports critical findings and communicates with appropriate personnel.
• Assists physicians with invasive procedures as necessary.
• Enters data into HIS and RIS for exams, times, codes, and resources.
• Adheres to radiation safety and infection control policies.
