Job summary

Akumin in Clearwater, FL is hiring a CT Technologist for a full-time on-site role. You will ensure patient safety, perform high-quality CT studies, and communicate with radiologists and customers.

Responsibilities include training new technologists and patient coordinators, plus troubleshooting scanners and related peripherals. Requirements include ARRT CT registration (or NMTCB CT per state), state license, CPR, and strong customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• Must have ARRT CT registration or NMTCB CT certification in lieu of ARRT.
• State medical imaging license where required.
• CPR certification and strong customer service skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening for radiation contraindications and aseptic technique.
• Produce high quality diagnostic CT images for radiologists and patients.
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists; train technologists and patient coordinators as needed.
• Troubleshoot CT scanner and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, etc.).

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate's degree or equivalent experience

ARRT CT registration

NMTCB CT certification acceptable in lieu of ARRT

State license (Medical Imaging)

CPR certification
