Job summary

The Southeast Health CT Technologist role in Dothan, AL supports radiologists with CT imaging, contrast administration, and patient care. You will operate advanced CT scanners, adhere to ALARA, and maintain strict confidentiality while collaborating with physicians and the radiology team.

Required is ARRT or NMTCB registration within 12 months, BLS, and strong knowledge of PACS/EMR tools. A sign-on bonus of 15,000 is included for qualified candidates eager to join our dynamic imaging department.

Qualifications

• ARRT or NMTCB eligible; registered within 12 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred; CT technologist registration encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and explain procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
• Position patients to optimize imaging while minimizing exposure.
• Operate CT scanners and acquire diagnostic images per protocol.
• Safely administer contrast media and monitor for reactions.
• Review images for quality before radiologist review.
• Maintain ALARA principles and radiology safety practices.
• Document procedures and incidents accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other clinicians to ensure timely diagnosis.
• Perform routine equipment checks and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Respond to patient emergencies during scanning with appropriate actions.
