Job summary

HCA Florida JFK North Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL seeks a CT Technologist to perform a range of CT imaging procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings. You will operate CT equipment, obtain consent, prepare patients, and explain procedures while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

The role requires Florida licensure, ARRT certification, and CT certification eligibility within six months of hire. COVID vaccination per policy may be required.

Qualifications

• FL licensed General Radiographer required and ARRT certified.
• CT certification can be acquired within 6 months of hire.
• Registered CT Technologist status or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images.
• Prepare patients, obtain consent, and explain procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and imaging staff to ensure accuracy and safety.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The CT Technician works in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting performing a variety of CT scan imaging procedures used to diagnose medical conditions. You will operate the CT scan equipment to produce quality images for detecting pathology and abnormalities in patients.You will obtain consent, prepare patients, and explain the procedure to them.The patient population may range from newborn to geriatric.

You will:

• Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient

• Determine most suitable anatomical posture/position and shield patients accordingly

• Collaborate with physicians and other Imaging staff as needed

• Practice aseptic/sterile technique for all procedures

• Work within the CT Tech scope of practice according to policy and procedures

• Follow all general infection control measures and those specific to the CT scan department

• Complete required documentation accurately immediately after completing each case

Job Qualifications

• FL Licensed General Radiographer

• ARRT

• CT Certification can be acquired upon 6 months of hire

• Registered Computerized Tomography Technician
