Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in CT imaging to perform scans and prepare patients for examinations at our Mount Kisco facility. You will ensure proper protocol, obtain consent when needed, and produce high-quality images for physician interpretation.

Requirements include ARRT RT registration, NY licensure, graduation from an accredited radiology program, and prior radiology experience. Strong communication and vigilance for patient safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• New York State licensure as Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT Registered Technologist (R.T.).
• Prior radiology technology experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for examination.
• Explains procedure in layman terms to relieve patient of anxiety.
• Ensures patient is screened according to protocol, and assures consent for the procedure has been obtained.
• Positions patient on examination table for optimum testing procedure and conditions.
• Sets-up equipment to administer the proper procedure in timely fashion.
• Performs cat scan procedures as prescribed by ordering physician.
• Calculates and enters number of scans to be obtained.
• Obtains images of anatomical area of interest.
• Ensures proper views and images have been obtained and proper techniques employed.
• Collects data and calculations for physician interpretation.
• Monitors patient condition during examination and reports changes.
• Acknowledges and reviews images in computer system.
• Ensures accuracy of patient data; processes imaging and CDs as required.
• Gathers previous related patient reports as required.
• Performs minor repairs and frequent calibration checks and adjusts equipment.
• Adheres to Infection Control guidelines; maintains cleanliness.
• Performs related duties as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensures accuracy of all patient data. Processes imaging and prints CDs, as required.

• Adheres to Infection Control guidelines in the performance of duties. Maintains cleanliness of work area, equipment and accessories.

Work Shift

Wednesdays (9:30PM - 7:00AM)

Thursdays & Saturdays (9:00PM -7:00PM)

Fridays (6:00PM - 7:00AM)

• On-Call & Rotating Holiday Coverage

Job Qualification

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program, required.

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.), required
