Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a CT Technologist to join the Radiology team at the Geneva Destination Campus, with floating to Clifton Springs and Newark Hospitals as needed.

You will perform CT imaging, Interventional CT procedures, and support patient care, documentation, and daily CT team operations. NYS licensure and ARRT certification are required, with timelines to obtain injections within six months.

Qualifications

  • Two year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.
  • NYS license in Radiologic Technology or must obtain licensure within six months of employment.
  • ARRT Certification within six months of employment.
  • NYS Injection Certification within six months of employment.

Job Title: CT Technologist

Department: Radiology

Location: Geneve Destination Campus, floating to Clifton Springs and Newark Hospitals when needed

Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 Hour Day Shifts, Weekend Rotation

SUMMARY

As a CT Technologist, your ability to empathize with patients, specialized technical skills, and dedication to quality, greatly enhances the overall success of imaging and the department as a whole.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Patient Care - Responsible for radiography of patients, including CT scans and Interventional CT guided procedures; provide on-call coverage for CT section of Radiology; follow up on patient care issues/needs.
  • Documentation - Maintain accountability for proper documentation of exams and procedures; document performance of studies in patient charts.
  • Daily Maintenance - Assist with day-to-day supervision of the CT team; clean, restock and prepare rooms.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.
  • NYS license in Radiologic Technology (or) must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of employment.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification (ARRT-R) within six months of employment.
  • Effective 7/16/2018 - NYS Injection Certification within six months of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Prior Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to work in various software applications are preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20-50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee's physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.

$32.00 - $44.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
