Job summary

Halifax Health seeks a Day CT Technologist to provide care to patients while producing high-quality imaging and administering contrast or radiopharmaceuticals with patient assessment and follow-up. You will demonstrate knowledge of radiologic technology equipment and provide backup supervision to radiology sections in the absence of a coordinator.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program; four-year programs preferred.
• Registered by ARRT in more than one modality.
• Licensed by the State of Florida to operate imaging equipment.
• Minimum of 5 years of radiologic technology experience.
• Experience with PACS is preferred; multi-modality experience required.
• Direct supervision of students and coordination duties as needed.

Day (United States of America)CT Technologist

This individual would provide care to all patients while producing high quality imaging modalities. They would also provide contrast or radiopharmaceutical administration with patient assessment and follow‑up information. Demonstrate all necessary skills and knowledge of section computer and/or equipment technology. Provide backup supervision (coordination) and direction to all radiology sections in the absence of a coordinator. Perform duties of a Level II Radiographer/Technologist when requested. Directly supervise students. Maintain certification according to the State, National and Medical Center regulations.

• Must be a graduate of a Joint Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) orregionally accredited and approved School of Radiologic Technology. A four year program is preferred.
• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in more than one modality.
• Must be licensed by the State of Florida to operate ionizing and non-ionizing imaging equipment according to MQA, Joint Commission and ALARA standards.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a specific Radiologic technology science or area of specialization required.
• Experience with the PACS system preferred.
• Previous experience in more than one modality is required.
