Job summary

Akumin in Newark, NJ is hiring a CT Technologist for a full-time position at our outpatient radiology facility. The role includes ensuring patient safety, performing high-quality CT imaging, and maintaining clear communication with radiologists and patients.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT CT registry (or NMTCB in lieu), state licensure, CPR, and an Associate degree or equivalent; strong customer service and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• Registered CT Technologist (ARRT) required; NMTCB accepted in lieu of ARRT.
• State license and CPR certification required where service is provided.
• Strong customer service, organization and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images and communicates with radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and PCs; troubleshoots scanner and peripheral equipment.

Job Overview

We are currently hiring for a CT Technologist at our Newark, NJ facility. This will be a Full Time position.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensures Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications to radiation and contrast injections.
• Also, the use of aseptic injection techniques.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's.
• Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and all peripheral equipment (including monitors, PACS, etc.).

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience; Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Registered Computed Tomography Technologists by the ARRT.
• If allowable by state where service is provided certification by the NMTCB in Computed Tomography acceptable in lieu of ARRT registry.
• State license.
• Licensed in Medical Imaging, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Technologists performing mid-day moves.
• Active State Driver’s License.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

The estimated hourly pay range for this role in NJ is $29.80 - $53.63. Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, location, and other factors such as internal equity and budget.
