Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a CT Technologist to operate CT imaging equipment, produce high-quality scans, and prepare the procedure room for patients. You will perform CT exams across a range of body parts and complete accompanying forms to ensure accurate diagnostic information.

Qualified candidates have radiology training and ARRT certification; CT certification is preferred. The role requires BLS within 30 days of hire and experience in radiology.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of Radiology experience preferred.
  • Training in CT modality preferred.
  • ARRT certification required; CT certification preferred.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT imaging equipment and verify images.
  • Prepare procedure room with needed equipment and supplies.
  • Ensure high-quality CT scans to provide diagnostic information.
  • Perform CT exams on various body parts in a timely manner.
  • Complete history forms and technologist exam sheets.
  • Initiate IVs and check labs as needed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Operates CT Scanning imaging equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patient's body for diagnostic purposes. CT Scan: Population Served Core competencies will be assessed primarily on the following patient population(s) served: Imaging with and without contrast of cardio-pulmonary, vascular, neuro , GI, GU, GYN, skeletal/muscular conditions and diseases including but not limited to: PVD, CVA/TIA, COPD, CHF, HNP, oncology, etc.

What you will do in this role:

  • You will operate diagnostic equipment, verify images and prepare the room with necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that proper diagnostic information is provided through the production of high-quality CT scans.
  • You will perform CT exams on a variety of different body parts in a timely manner.
  • You will complete appropriate history forms and technologist exam sheet.
  • You will start I.V.s and check labs as needed.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Two yeas experience in Radiology preferred, with additional training in CT modality preferred.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • (ARRT) certification is required and CT certification is preferred.
  • BLS required upon hire (AHA or Red Cross) within 30-days of hire date.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Bachelors Degree, or Certificate, or Associate Degree.

Doctors Hospital of Augusta, part of HCA Healthcare, is a 350-bed hospital that provides a wide range of medical services.
