Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta invites a Radiologic Technologist ARRT PRN to join our team. This role operates radiology imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes and assists physicians in sterile environments, with duties across OR, ER and main hospital settings.

The ideal candidate will be ARRT-registered, graduate of AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, with BLS within 30 days of start and 2+ years’ radiology experience preferred, including OR exposure.

Qualifications

  • BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • ARRT registered radiographer.
  • Graduate of AMA approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ radiology experience; OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates Radiology imaging equipment to produce images for diagnostic purposes and assist physicians in sterile environments.
  • Prepare patient for radiological procedures by positioning and adjusting equipment and exposure factors.
  • Assist providers with Radiography equipment in the OR and procedure settings.
  • Perform Fluoroscopy and general radiography in various settings including the Emergency Dept.
  • Operate Radiology and IT systems for patient processing and workflow.
  • Excel at patient experience.
  • Perform radiography in the Main Hospital ED, Fluoroscopy procedures, Portable Radiographs.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Operates Radiology imaging equipment to produce images of patient's body for diagnostic purposes and assist physicians with procedures in sterile environment.

What you will do in this role:
  • You will prepare patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into a specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  • Assist providers with Radiography equipment in both the OR and procedure setting
  • Perform Fluoroscopy, general radiography in numerous setting, including the Emergency Dept
  • Able to operate all needed Radiology and IT systems for patient processing and workflow
  • Excel at patient experience
  • Perform radiography in the Main Hospital ED, Fluoroscopy procedures, Portable Radiographs
  • You will operate diagnostic equipment, process images and prepare room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Radiology Technologist is highly preferred. Experience with Radiography in an OR setting is highly preferred.
