Job summary

Providence Tarzana Medical Center is seeking a CT technologist to perform comprehensive CT scans across multiple body regions following established protocols and ALARA principles. You will evaluate image quality and ensure patient safety while minimizing radiation exposure.

Required qualifications include completion of a Radiologic Technology program, CT training or experience, and relevant licenses/certifications, with eligible California licensure upon hiring.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a radiologic technology program.
• Training in CT or 2 years CT experience in acute care.
• California Radiologic Technologist license upon hire.
• BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• ARRT Radiography license upon hire.
• Within 1 year: ARRT CT certification.
• California Fire & Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans of head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and musculoskeletal regions.
• Evaluate image quality and apply ALARA to minimize exposure.
• Follow established protocols and procedures for all patients.

Job description

Reporting to the Manager or Director of Imaging, perform computerized tomography scans of patients of all ages following established protocols and procedures. Scans head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis and musculoskeletal areas. Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and practice ALARA to minimize radiation exposure to patients.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training:Successfully completed a program in Radiological Technology.
• Coursework/Training:Successfully completed training in Computer Assisted Tomography or 2 years of CT experience in an acute care setting.
• Upon hire: California Radiologic Technologist.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography.
• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.
