Role Overview

The CT Technologist performs computed tomography (CT) procedures under physician supervision, utilizing advanced equipment to aid diagnoses across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Executing all types of CT studies, including diagnostic and interventional, while practicing radiation safety.
• Using sterile techniques when necessary and positioning patients accurately for optimal imaging.
• Performing venipuncture and operating CT systems and support software such as HIS, RIS, PACS, and scheduling tools.
• Evaluating image quality, reviewing patient history, and documenting studies accurately.
• Caring for patients of all ages, maintaining confidentiality, and coordinating exams within the department and with other teams.
• Handling scheduling and inquiries courteous, participating in quality improvement efforts, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
• Administering drugs or biologicals when necessary per protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program with current certification or eligibility for ARRT certification; CT certification required within 24 months.
• Valid state radiographer license and Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
