UPMC Horizon – Greenville is hiring a Flex Full-time CT Technologist to join the Imaging Team. This role involves working varying shifts with weekend and holiday coverage required on a rotational basis. Travel to UPMC Shenango Valley may be required as needed.

Sign-On Bonus Details: $15,000 for a 2-year work commitment or $30,000 for a 3-year work commitment.

Monthly Loan Repayment Program: Exclusively for December 2023 and later graduates, offering $9,000 in loan repayment paid over three years for eligible full-time roles. Flex full-time roles receive a prorated amount of $6,300.

Purpose:

Performs imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, utilizing independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities:

1. Performs computed tomography procedures using established scan protocols, including contrast administration without requiring constant supervision.
2. Uses complex imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation, following protocols.
3. Ensures all exams are properly coded, tracked through RIS, networked to ISITE, and charges are accurately entered.
4. Administers PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders, assessing patient risk factors prior to contrast administration.
5. Communicates instructions clearly to patients, explains procedures, and helps alleviate fears to ensure cooperation.
6. Performs technical procedures requiring independent judgment and appropriate application of ionizing radiation.
7. Interacts professionally with patients and co-workers, demonstrating care, listening, dignity, and respect. Works effectively as part of a team.
8. Properly identifies patients using two identifiers, reviews history, assesses orders, and documents appropriately.
9. Demonstrates proper venipuncture technique and correct use of power injectors according to protocols.
