Purpose:
Performs imaging procedures independently, utilizing technical expertise to deliver diagnostic quality images with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Performs CT procedures using established protocols, including contrast administration, without constant supervision.
• Operates complex imaging equipment for image acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation, following protocol.
• Ensures all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked, and billed through RIS and ISITE systems.
• Administers PO, rectal, and IV contrast as per physician orders, assessing patient risk factors prior to contrast administration.
• Communicates clearly with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns to ensure cooperation.
• Adjusts protocols as needed, demonstrating independent judgment in applying ionizing radiation techniques.
• Interacts professionally with patients and team members, demonstrating care, respect, and teamwork.
• Properly identifies patients using two identifiers, reviews history and orders, and documents appropriately.
• Performs venipuncture and operates power injectors following protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
