Job Title: CT Technologist

Job Summary: Performs diagnostic CT procedures within the CT Department utilizing specific equipment. Rotates through diagnostic radiology as assigned and performs all responsibilities outlined in the CT Tech job description. Involved in radiation and general safety practices at all times.

Minimum Qualifications

• For West Virginia, Ohio, and Maryland locations:
• Hired before 4/1/2024:
• Certification in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the NMTCB.
• Radiologist Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board of Examiners or applicable state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Computed Tomography certification through ARRT or NMTCB within 2 years of hire.
• One (1) year of computed tomography experience.
• Hired on or after 4/1/2024:
• Same certifications as above.
• One (1) year of computed tomography experience.
• For Pennsylvania locations:
• Hired before 4/1/2024:
• Graduate from AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification in Radiography with ARRT or NMTCB.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days.
• Computed Tomography certification through ARRT within 2 years.
• Hired on or after 4/1/2024:
• Same educational requirements as above.
• One (1) year of computed tomography experience.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Includes preparing patient rooms and equipment, performing exams, documenting procedures, maintaining safety standards, producing diagnostic images, administering contrast media, and utilizing PACS for image management. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Physical Requirements

Frequent walking, standing, lifting, and patient handling. Ability to lift over 100 pounds occasionally. Normal hearing and visual acuity required.

Work Environment

Exposure to body fluids, contagious diseases, sharps, radiations, and other hazards. Work involves high stress and interruptions.

Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of patient development, care, and pain management. Understanding of patient needs across all age groups.
