Job summary

RadNet seeks a Radiologic Technologist in New York to perform radiologic and CT exams on incoming patients, monitor patient well-being, and administer contrast safely. You will guide patients through procedures, respond to physician questions, safeguard patient information, and maintain professional conduct with patients and staff in a fast-paced imaging center.

Qualifications

• State licensure, ARRT(R) and/or ARRT(CT) certifications may be required by state regulations.
• BLS certification may be needed depending on state regulations.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality radiologic, CT exams on incoming patients.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguards on-site medications and patient information in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Demonstrate professional behavior toward patients and coworkers, respecting boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• State regulations may necessitate the following certifications: state licensure, ARRT (R), and/or ARRT (CT)

Pay Range: $31.70-$36 per hour
