Job summary

RadNet is seeking a CT Technologist in Rochester, NY to deliver high-quality radiologic CT exams. You will monitor patient well-being, administer contrast safely, and guide patients through procedures with clear explanations.

The role requires ARRT certification and state licensure as applicable, with BLS as needed. You will work in a dynamic team ensuring optimal patient care at a leading radiology network.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality radiologic CT exams on incoming patients
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical issues
• Administer contrast safely and effectively
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety
• Answer physician questions regarding patients
• Safeguard patient information and site medications
• Protect company property and patient financial data
• Demonstrate professionalism and respect for patient boundaries and colleagues
• Interact with patients, families and staff in a courteous manner
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with team members

You Will:

• Perform high quality radiologic, CT exams on incoming patients.
• Monitor patient's well-being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• State regulations may necessitate the following certifications: state licensure, ARRT (R), and/or ARRT (CT)
• BLS certification depending on state regulations
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!

Pay Range: $31.70-$36 per hour
