Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking an Imaging Technologist for their Radiology Department. This position requires an Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology and ARRT certification. Qualifications

Job description

Starting Salary

$32.50, based on experience. Plus $4.00 shift differential.

Shift Schedule

2nd shift with 3rd shift rotation 2–3 times per month. No weekends or call.

Job Description

To function as an imaging technologist in the field of computed tomography imaging. To communicate, facilitate, and coordinate patient care delivery and effective communication within the medical center, which is dedicated to the care of the pediatric population and those with childhood conditions, through high quality diagnostic procedures. Work closely with team members of the Radiology Department and other collaborating departments throughout the hospital and outpatient sites.

Job Responsibilities
  • Customer Service – Act as a customer advocate and strive to better meet the needs of patients and families. Utilize a customer focus to complete assignments and interact with customers courteously, attentively and conscientiously. Respond quickly to parent requests and concerns. Provide appropriate education/information.
  • Serve as a Resource – Demonstrate advanced competence in specific knowledge, skills and behaviors. Effectively communicate with team members and contribute to their growth by sharing knowledge, experience, and skills; and stay abreast of changes in key systems.
  • Process Improvement – Participate in improving/ensuring organizational and departmental performance/quality through recommending areas or approaches for improvement. Perform new procedures, collect data and provide input to department discussions. Anticipate and recommend areas for process/system improvement; work with personnel to implement changes and evaluate initiatives.
  • Patient Care – Procedures and Exams – Prepare patients, parents, and/or families for procedures/examinations physically and psychologically. Conduct procedures/examinations following protocol/guidelines as directed. Obtain, review, bring together, or facilitate the exchange of patient information.
  • Communication – Patient – Communicate with patients, families, and employees courteously. Respond promptly to requests. Provide information concerning patients who are admitted, referred, transferred, or discharged. Provide emotional support to families as needed.
Job Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
  • Registered ARRT (R) or eligible.
  • Registered ARRT (CT) within 24 months of hire.
  • Licensed by Ohio Department of Health within 30 days of eligibility.
Location & Schedule

Primary location: Burnet Campus. Schedule: Full time. Shift: 2–3 shift (United States of America).
