Job summary

CommonSpirit Health's Chandler Regional Medical Center in Chandler, AZ seeks a CT Technologist to capture diagnostic CT images and support Radiologists in accurate diagnoses.

You will perform CT scans per protocols, assist Interventional Radiology, ensure radiation safety, and contribute to a compassionate patient experience in a 443-bed acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate AMA approved school of radiologic technology.
• Minimum of two years CT tech experience.
• Arizona Radiologic Technologist license (AZ).
• ARRT Radiography or CT certification (any listed).
• BLS/CPR certification (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Performs CT scans per current protocols and radiologist recommendations.
• Assists Interventional Radiologist during CT guidance procedures.
• Evaluates area of interest and type of scan; consults physician as needed.
• Demonstrates cross sectional anatomy knowledge and proper positioning.
• Operates CT equipment, teleradiology systems, and maintains safety practices.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our CT Technologist, you will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling our Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.

Every day, you will adeptly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience throughout the imaging process.

To be successful in this role, you will deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses that guide effective patient care.

• Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Interventional Procedures.
• Assists Interventional Radiologist proficiently during CT guidance procedures. May assist with operations and patient workflow. Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions and reconstructions.
• Performs protocol management by evaluating and determining area of interest and type of scan to be performed on patient; consults physician as necessary.
• Displays a thorough knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and positioning as it relates to performance of CT scan procedures. Displays knowledge of various drugs and contrast media utilized. Displays competency injecting contrasting media, if required.
• Displays competency operating equipment, performing procedures, teleradiology system, and ability to function as a radiologic technologist when requested.
• Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others by use of available radiation protection devices. Ensure badges are worn appropriately and readings are available.

• Graduate AMA approved school of radiologic technology. and Minimum of two (2) years CT tech experience
• Medical Radiographer: AZ
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT or
• Registered Technologist Bone Densitometry, or
• Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, or
• Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, or
• Registered Technologist Mammography, or
• Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or
• Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology, or
• Registered Technologist Quality Management, or
• Registered Technologist Radiation Therapy, or
• Registered Technologist Vascular Interventional Rad, or
• Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR
