Job summary

Responsibilities include operating CT equipment, maintaining safety protocols, and adapting to new technology. Prior CT certification timelines vary by location, with BLS and IV certification required within six weeks of employment.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology training.
• ARRT certification (CT certification preferred or required within specified timeframes, depending on location).
• Licensure through relevant state boards.

• Ability to learn and utilize new technology, exercise professional judgment, and communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.

Role

CT Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scans, producing high-quality images, and exercising professional judgment during procedures.

Responsibilities

Operate CT equipment, perform related procedures, interact effectively with patients, physicians, and staff, and provide patient care, including initiating life support if necessary. Develop an understanding of patients" physical and emotional status, working with diverse age groups. May perform additional radiology tasks such as mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA scans. Adapt to new technology and assist in orienting new employees. Flexibility to participate in on-call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays based on facility needs.

Qualifications & Skills

Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology training, ARRT certification (CT certification preferred or required within specified timeframes, depending on location), and licensure through relevant state boards. BLS and IV certification within six weeks of employment. Ability to learn and utilize new technology, exercise professional judgment, and communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
