Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a Weekend CT Technologist to join the CT team. The role involves performing diagnostic CT and related imaging procedures during weekend shifts, ensuring patient safety and image quality.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited radiography program, WI radiographer license, ARRT certification, and CPR within 90 days. CT certification is preferred and required within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Radiography school.
• Current WI Radiographer license and ARRT Certification.
• CT Certification preferred upon hire (required within one year of training completion).
• At least one year of CT experience preferred.
• CPR certification within 90 days.
• Keeps personal and medical information about patients confidential.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician; perform radiologic and related imaging procedures.
• Evaluate radiographs for technical quality; apply radiation protection principles.
• Operate imaging equipment and related devices; document accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality and patient records; perform PACs functions.
• Assist with QA/QI and supervise radiology students as needed.
• Report to Director and Clinical Manager of Radiology Services.

Education

Graduate of accredited Radiography school

Current WI Radiographer license

ARRT Certification

CT Certification (preferred; required within 12 months)

CPR certification within 90 days

In this position the Weekend CT Technologist will provide patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician, performs radiologic and other related imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by a physician, and apply principles of radiation protection. The CT Technologist will evaluate radiographs for technical quality, and exercise professional judgement in the performance of procedures.

• Works only weekends and participates in a holiday rotation
• Performs diagnostic radiographic services
• Operates imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate
• Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to the patient, self, and others
• Evaluates radiography for technical quality and patient identification.
• Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs patients during procedures
• Administers or assists with administration of contrast media, as required.
• Assists physician with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures
• Ensures proper documentation
• Performs quality control checks as required.
• Maintains accurate patient records and files with confidentiality, performing all PACs functions
• Assumes responsibility for portions of department QA/QI program
• Supervises, assists, instructs, and communicates effectively with radiology students
• Reporting Relationship: Director and Clinical Manager of Radiology Services
