Job summary

Beloit Health System is seeking a Weekend CT Technologist to join the Radiology team. This role provides patient services using CT and related imaging modalities, ensuring high-quality images for physician interpretation and applying radiation safety principles.

The position requires WI radiographer licensure with ARRT certification; CT certification is preferred and must be obtained within one year of training completion. Works weekends with holiday rotation, 7p–7a, 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
• Current WI Radiographer license and ARRT Certification.
• CT Certification preferred upon hire; required within one year of training completion.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT imaging and related radiology procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Evaluate image quality and document results accurately in PACS.
• Maintain records and confidentiality of patient information.
• Assist with procedural equipment setup and calibration.

In this position the Weekend CT Technologist will provide patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician, performs radiologic and other related imaging procedures, producing images for interpretation by a physician, and apply principles of radiation protection. The CT Technologist will evaluate radiographs for technical quality, and exercise professional judgement in the performance of procedures.

• Works only weekends and participates in a holiday rotation
• Performs diagnostic radiographic services
• Operates imaging equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate
• Applies principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to the patient, self, and others
• Evaluates radiography for technical quality and patient identification.
• Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs patients during procedures
• Administers or assists with administration of contrast media, as required.
• Assists physician with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures
• Ensures proper documentation
• Performs quality control checks as required.
• Maintains accurate patient records and files with confidentiality, performing all PACs functions
• Assumes responsibility for portions of department QA/QI program
• Supervises, assists, instructs, and communicates effectively with radiology students
• Reporting Relationship: Director and Clinical Manager of Radiology Services
  

Job Requirements

• Graduate of accredited Radiography school
• Current WI Radiographer license and ARRT Certification
• CT Certification preferred upon hire (required within one year of training completion)
• At least one year of CT experience preferred
• CPR certification within 90 days
